We collect data automatically when you navigate through our site. All other data collected is volunteered by you either through the use of our service or by emailing us as part of a support request or general enquiry.

3.1  What User-Specific Data Does TheStoryOf.io Store?

Our service is currently hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to present our products and services to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall.   See the Wix.com Privacy Policy for further information.

3.2 Where can your data appear?

The profile data, identified as available for public consumption by you, will be available to any users on the world wide web. These will be known as profiles designated for public consumption or, Designated Profiles.   Your first name, last name and profile image will also appear next to the profiles selected by you for public consumption.

3.3 Which third parties view/process your data

​

TheStoryOf.io administration team uses Google WorkSpaces for internal operations. From time to time, a user may correspond with a member of the TheStoryOf.io team for support and other queries.   If a user emails the TheStoryOf.io team, then email data (email, contact information, attachments, etc.) will be stored on Google’s servers within the European Data Region.

TheStoryOf.io use Google ReCAPTCHA, which helps our website prevent spam and block "bots." The program determines whether the user is a natural person or a "bot" to stop "automated software" from weighing down the site.

 

TheStoryOf.io pages include embedded content and products from social media companies, such as Youtube, that helps our website to show the quick demo.

Google is used for the optimisation and personalisation of services. Select Data is shared with Google Analytics through the use of cookies.

4. Credit & Payment Card Information

4.1  TheStoryOf.io uses third-party payment processors Stripe Payments to process payments made for products and services via the Website. All online payments will be conducted in accordance with Payment Card Industry (PCI) data security standards, and your billing information (which is only used by these payment processors for the purpose of performing fraud protection) is encrypted before being communicated to them. Your credit card details are communicated directly from your browser to these payment processors - TheStoryOf.io never sees your total Permanent Account Number (PAN). This means that the payment form is either off-site or displayed in a frame on the payment page. Stripe’s TOS are available here

5.1 Our Website uses “cookies” and files that are similar to cookies. Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers created by your browser at our request and stored on your computer. Cookies help us to distinguish you from other uses of our website.

6. Where do We Store Data

6.1 TheStoryOf.io transfers, processes and stores data about you on servers located in several countries, for example, where we subcontract processing to or share your personal information with third parties (referred to in section 3). Your Personal Information may therefore be transferred to, processed and stored in a country different from your country of residence. Information collected within the European Economic Area (“EEA”) and Switzerland may, for example, be transferred to and processed by third parties that are located in a country outside of the EEA and Switzerland. We will continue to update policies and implement additional security features as new technologies become available. Where we have given you a password which enables you to access certain parts of our Site, you are responsible for keeping that password confidential. We ask you not to share your password with anyone.

7.2 Although we will do our best to protect your data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our Site. Any transmission of data is at your own risk. Once we receive your data, we will use appropriate security measures to seek to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure.

10.1 Because things naturally change over time, and we want to ensure our privacy policy accurately reflects our practices and the law, it may be necessary to modify this privacy policy from time to time. We reserve the right to do so in the following manner:

• For minor changes, such as grammatical fixes, administrative or legal changes, or corrections of inaccurate statements, we will post the changes and, when possible, provide at least three (3) calendar days prior notice.

• In the event of substantial changes, we will notify all users via email at least three (3) calendar days before the changes take effect.

• When substantial changes do occur, you will be asked to agree to the Privacy Policy again.
